The client, a leading public health research and education organization in the southern United States, supported by major federal and state health agencies such as National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), sought to enhance its community-based health initiatives through innovative digital platforms. The client’s programs focus on reducing teen pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Disease / Human Immunodeficiency Virus (STD/HIV) infections, promoting cancer screening and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, and managing chronic conditions such as epilepsy and asthma. 

For over a decade, Radiant Digital has served as a trusted technology and research partner, providing end-to-end digital solutions, IT infrastructure support, resource promotion, and community engagement services to advance the client’s mission of improving population health outcomes. 

Challenge 

The client’s public health teams aimed to expand the reach and effectiveness of their prevention and health promotion programs while ensuring accessibility and engagement across diverse user groups, including educators, students, parents, and healthcare providers.

Solution 

Radiant Digital deployed onsite and project-based teams to design, develop, and maintain the web solution that teaches learners how to protect themselves from pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections using medically accurate information. Learners can also explore topics such as healthy relationships, puberty, reproduction, HIV/STI awareness, pregnancy, refusal skills, and contraception. 

1. Native It’s Your Game (N-IYG):  

Native It’s Your Game (N-IYG) is a web-based HIV, STI, and pregnancy prevention curriculum for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth ages 12-14. The program teaches about healthy relationships, communication, and refusal skills using interactive activities, videos, games, personalized “journaling” activities, tailored feedback, and individually tailored activities. Radiant Digital has provided full-cycle software design, development, and user support for over ten years. 

Key Contributions:

2. Native It’s Your Game -Downloadable(N-IYG): 

Native It’s Your Game (N-IYG) is a desktop (Mac, Windows) based application for HIV, STI, and pregnancy prevention curriculum for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth ages 12-14. The program teaches about healthy relationships, communication, and refusal skills using interactive activities, videos, games, personalized “journaling” activities, feedback, and individually tailored activities. IYG Future is a web-based HIV, STI, and pregnancy prevention curriculum for urban school district southeast Texas. It is a combination of four Courses, those are:

4. Adolescent Vaccination Project (AVP) 

A self-guided, mobile-app-based intervention designed to increase HPV vaccination rates among parents and adolescents.

• Peer and provider modeling videos normalizing vaccination as a protective measure.
• An integrated tool for locating and scheduling vaccination appointments.
• Notes function for parents to prepare questions for healthcare visits.
